Marian Louise Como

December 03, 1933 - August 26, 2017

Marian (Age 83) passed away peacefully on August 26, 2017 in Spokane, WA. She was born December 3, 1933 in Kimble, NE, the daughter of Clarence W. & Mabel Harger. She moved to Oregon and graduated Gresham High School 1951. - Throughout her life, she enjoyed her camping, swimming, family, friends, playing cards with the neighbors, pets, the beach, her Classic old car, fishing & watching the Yankees play baseball with her companion Roy Clemendon. - She loved crocheting scarves, slippers and afghans which she gave as gifts. Her afghans reflected her love for color and flare. Her favorite color was purple and she had a beautiful large purple afghan draped across her bed in the apartment she lived in for 20 years. She also loved sitting on the back porch, under the big shade tree, feeding the squirrels peanuts. She called it her domain. - Marian is survived by her sons: William (Bill) Como of Hamlet, OR, Randall (Randy) Como (wife Gail) of Gearhart, OR, David (Dave) Como (wife Debbie) of Spokane, WA and her daughter-in-law Mary Como of Spokane along with 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son Daniel (Danny) Como of Spokane. She was our mother, grandmother, friend and neighbor. You will always be in our hearts and in our memories. Rest in peace mom, we will always love and remember you. During this time, we would like to give a special thanks to Debbie Como who was always there to help and care for Mom. Also, Royal Park nurses Michelle & Dianne along with the staff who cared for mom in a caring and thoughtful way. - A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 9th at 1 p.m. at Fellowship Church of God, 2102 E. Everett, Spokane, WA 99207.
