Lois Joan Tilzey (Skip) passed away on January 25, 2018 in Spokane Valley surrounded by her family. She was born in Lewistown, MT on February 6, 1945 to her parents Emery and Gunhilde Kynett. She went to grade school in a one room school house in Kolin, MT and then graduated from high school in Moccasin, MT. She then went to the University of Montana and graduated in 1967. After that she moved to Spokane and worked for Spokane County Juvenile Parole Office. She married the love of her life Dick Tilzey on August 1, 1970. They had two daughters; Richelle Stratton (Del) and Beckie Wilkie (Charlie). Skip will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Jesse, Hayden, Colton, Zack and Haylee. Skip loved her bowling league, gardening and taking care of her flowers. She couldn’t wait for summertime to sunbathe and hang out by the pool. With her family and friends especially FOJAT (Fourth of July at Tilzey’s). One of her other favorite things to do was her yearly trip to Georgetown Lake in Montana with her sorority sisters. She is preceded in death by her parents Emery and Gunhilde Kynett; and brother Ned Kynett and sister Joy Bishop.
