Was born on February 5, 1932 in Reno, NV and died September 19, 2013 in Spokane, WA. He honorably served in the Korean War and was always very proud of serving his country. Upon his return, he attended Washington State College (WSU) where he met the love of his life, Gladys (Hap) Sullivan. They married June 10, 1956 in Ellensburg, WA. They owned and managed restaurants in Pullman, Spokane, Colfax, Pocatello and Moscow. They loved to spend time with their family, playing cards, listening to music and dancing. Preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 44 years, Hap. He is survived by his sister Constance M. Bailey, and his five children Bud Birch (Christy), Kim Tangeman (Smilie), Peggy Birch (Sue), Shari Rausch (Todd) and Mike Birch (Allison), seven grandchildren, one great grandson, and nieces and nephews. We know he is now out of pain and dancing with his sweetheart, our mom, in heaven.
