Leonarda (Narda) Felicia Sabey

March 06, 1955 - August 05, 2021

Narda, age 66, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 5, 2021, at home in Elk, Worshington. We know that’s not how you spell Washington but no matter how many times we corrected her English, that’s how she said it. She was born March 6, 1955, in Wallace, Idaho to Melvin (Bud) and Leila Whipps. - She spent most of her life living throughout the Silver Valley. She graduated from Kellogg High School in 1973 and married Leland Sabey on April 20, 1974, they later divorced. She had really enjoyed helping out at local businesses in Wallace where she was able to chat with and make new friends over the years. She teased her grandsons about how uncomfortable the seating was at all their sporting events, but she made sure, no matter what, to not miss any and sit there cheering them on the whole time. She enjoyed most things that involved her grandkids and spending time with them. They would occasionally convince her to go out picking huckleberries or to go sit in the water at the lake so they could show her all the cool things they could do. One that made her proud was that she was able to teach almost all her grandkids how to swim and how to be comfortable in the water and getting their faces wet. She enjoyed playing her computer games, reading, and watching all the different crime shows. She is survived by her kids Leahann (Eric) of Osburn, Allen of Osburn, Lance of Leavenworth, and Lindsay (Loren) of Elk. She also had her “adopted” kids Melissa of Kellogg, Emily of Kellogg, Tiffany of Newport, Jennifer (Colby) of Mead, and Jacqueline (Ramon) of Elk. Her Grandchildren Anthony of Kellogg, Katelyne of Smelterville, Preston of Reno, Kimberly of Osburn, David and Nathaniel of Elk, Ivy and Presten of Elk, Ryan of Mead, Lilijanna of Spokane, Seth of Mead and Kaycin, Dallen and Dawson of Nampa. Her Great-Grandson Connor of Kellogg. There are also numerous more kids and grandkids from over the years as any friend of her kids’ or grandkids’ that walked through her door she automatically adopted as her own. Her sisters Janet (Robert) of Tensed and Melva of Cheney. Her very dearest friend Janet McNeil of Pinehurst, her dear friends Linda and Martha of Spokane, and several other good friends that she held dear to her heart throughout the Silver Valley and the Spokane/Cheney area. She also leaves behind her beloved dog Mr. Snugs. She is proceeded in death by both her parents Bud and Leila, her sister Chris, her brother Daniel, her brother-in-Law Bob and her son-in-law Larry. Cremation will take place. She requested no actual service so at this time we are working on arrangements for a gathering of her friends and family and will do our best to notify others of those plans as they come about.
