Obituary for Kevin Stuber

Kevin was born December 8th 1957 in Sioux Falls, SD to Joan Brandsgaard. He was adopted by Francis Stuber at 5 years old.

Kevin met his wife Pam Hennagir in July of 1977 in Great Falls, Montana. They were married September 4th 1977 in Conrad, Mt at Assembly of God church. Kevin is survived by his wife, 3 daughters, 10 grandchildren, and one great grandson.

His eldest daughter, Crystal Schmautz, is married to Robert Schmautz and they have three children. They are Damian Stuber, and father of Xavier Stuber, Byron Schmautz and Violette Schmautz.

Silky Stuber is next with children Memorie Stuber, Elijah Stuber and Evvan Stuber.

Youngest is Selina Stuber with children Christian Stuber, Malachi Stuber, Heaven Yadin and Harmonie Yadin.

Kevin had a sister Rana Wesland and Niece Lacey Wesland.

Kevin and Pam have spent their lives in many places,

These include South Dakota, Montana, Texas and Washington.

In Waco, Texas during 1980 Kevin went to truck driving school and earned his CDL.

Kevin and Pam lived in Great falls, MT from 1981 to 1995. Kevin suffered a heart failure in 1990. Over the next 4 years he became very ill with pneumonia and was advised he would need a heart transplant. The family of 5 moved to Spokane, WA in 1995.

Sacred Heart Medical Center with Doctors Icenogle and Sandler assisted Kevin with a Heart Mate LVAD (Mechanical Heart) until his heart transplant in April of 1996. He was blessed with the donated heart from an 18 year old donor.

Kevin started working for Career Connections doing janitorial a couple years later and worked there until the mid 2000’s.

Following that he started working for Skookum Contract services as a janitor and groundskeeper in 2008 located at the Navy Operational Service Center. He received a commendation from one of the commanding officers stating Kevin went above and beyond.

Kevin worked until June 2021.

Kevin enjoyed working on cars and helping others to learn. He had a Yellow Chevy Luv he worked on for years. He and Pam would often take drives just for something to do.

Kevin also enjoyed Music and cartoons especially with his grandchildren.

Kevin was very forward and rough around the edges but inside he was very caring and had a big heart. He was always there if you needed a hand. Always felt like he was on borrowed time.

Kevin passed away at home on October 13th 2021 from Metastatic Melanoma.
