Katherine L Allen

Beloved mother & sister, died at her home in Spokane and joined her dad and other family in Heaven on Monday, August 3, 2015. Kathy was born in Spokane, WA, August 3, 1955, to Glenn Camel & Helen Louise (Westberg) Lynam, and was raised in Spokane and Medical Lake, WA, with her sister and 2 brothers. She graduated from Medical Lake High School in 1973. She and husband, Don Allen, had two children: Ben and Carly. Mom was named after her grandma Ella (Ella Katherine) and mom (Helen Louise). Mom placed her trust in Jesus Christ as a child at Riverview Bible Camp north of Spokane, WA. She grew up at Fourth Memorial (Spokane) and attended services at other churches in the Spokane area. Mom worked hard to be a good provider and loved her mother, husband and children. Mom enjoyed being with us kids, cooking, shopping, working in her yard, and camping. She also enjoyed her house and the company of her two dogs: Brandy and Punky. She worked as a paralegal for Spokane County. Kathy's husband, Don, went home to the Lord in 2007, her father, Glenn, in 1996. She is survived by her mother, Helen Lynam (Spokane Valley) and children, Ben Allen (Augusta, GA) and Carly Allen (Spokane, WA). She is also survived by her older sister, Carol (Gary) Bush (Richland, WA), older brother, Bob Lynam (Crosby, MN), younger brother Mark (Jodi) Lynam (Albuquerque, NM), as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces (Kristin, Erin, Lisa & Brigid), nephews (Matthew & Michael) and grandnephews and grandnieces. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, August 7, 2015 at Spokane Memorial Gardens, South 5909 Cheney-Spokane Road, Spokane, WA. Since seating is limited, please bring your own chair if needed.
