Obituary for Karen Connie Pizelo
Karen C Pizelo passed away peacefully 12/31/2021 ending her journey with dementia.
Karen was born to Hannah Taron on 05/07/1942 in Fargo North Dakota. Shortly after, her Mother married Samuel Rothwell. Her early years were spent in Moscow ID. The family then moved to Spokane WA where Karen would spend most of her years. She was in the first graduating class of Shadle Park High School in 1960. After some college and various jobs, she started a career with the US Postal Service. In 1990 she transferred to San Diego CA, retiring in 1992 after 27 years. She was the epitome of strength and compassion always protecting the people she loved, a lover of warm weather, ocean beaches, dancing, and all furry creatures big and small.
Preceded in death by her Mother Johanna Rothwell, Brother Terry Rothwell. Survived by her Husband of 32 years Mark Pizelo of Spokane, Her Dad Samuel Rothwell of Spokane, Sister Beverly (James) Burk of Loon Lake, Sister Sandra (Bradly) Parker, Daughter Dena (Jason) Maas, Son Travis Prestbo, Grandchildren, Samuel Prestbo, Mitchell Prestbo, Payton Maas, and Patrick Maas, all of Spokane.
A celebration of life will be held in May.
