Judith Gay Dixon

November 13, 1935 - January 27, 2015

DIXON, Judith G. (age 79) Judy was born on November 13, 1935, to Hal and Eve Dixon, in Spokane, WA, and passed away January 27, 2015, in Spokane Valley. The youngest of three daughters, she was a graduate of Lewis and Clark High School in 1953. As a young girl she worked as a switchboard operator for Jaremko Motors. Thereafter, she began her family at age 23, was an incredible home-maker and a most amazing mother of three children. Judy was a retired investor in the shopping center industry, as well as a loving friend to all. Judy is survived by her children; Kent (Bridget) Brooks, Drew (Sheila) Brooks and Eve (Bob) Ness; nieces, Julie (Jim) Bunch and Sue (Doug) Grenenger; Nephew Ryan (Jen) Martin; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and a loving batch of great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; Hal and Eve Dixon; sisters, Sally Jo Dixon and Nancy Sue Martin; brother-in-law, Bud Martin and nephew, Reed Martin. She will be remembered for her incredible sense of humor, amazing culinary skills, her burning desire for peace amongst all men and, most importantly, for her undying gratitude for her salvation paid for at the cross by her loving Jesus. Judy was a Pentecostal born-again Christian. A celebration of life was held at the Mirabeau Park Hotel on Saturday January 31st. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to either the Union Gospel Mission or the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery.
