Johnny Roy Jacobs

September 21, 1951 - June 28, 2015

Johnny left us to be with the Lord after a two year battle with stage 4 lung cancer on June 28th, 2015. John was born September 21st, 1951 to Roy and Roberta Jacobs in Buskirk, Kentucky. He is survived by his wife, Anna Jacobs; three daughters: Joanna, Amanda, and Jackie Jacobs; three grandchildren, four siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother, Roy Jacobs Jr. John was a long time resident of Spokane and Davenport, Washington. A very kind and gentle soul, he will be always loved and missed. John spent most of his younger years hunting, fishing, and camping and later on in his life all became renewed when he married the love of his life, Anna Mae Jacobs. They bought a home and started a new life in Davenport, where he started a new career at the Davenport School District. John loved the outdoors and his hobby of woodworking. His whole life was built around his family and that's where he devoted all of his free time. He also volunteered at Davenport's community food bank, "Care n' Share". A service for John will be held on Saturday July 11th at lla.m. at Hillyard Life Church 2102 E Everett, Spokane, WA 99217. Flowers may be sent to the church and for any monetary donations, please contact the Jacobs family at (509) 499-2810.
