John T Miller

Was born on January 26, 1935 in Raymond, WA to Clarence E. Miller and Francis D. Taylor. He passed away on May 3, 2015. John grew up on the South Hill of Spokane, Washington where he was an altar boy at The St. John’s Episcopal Church and attended Lewis and Clark High School and was a member of the tennis team. He spent two years at Washington State College before marrying Barbara Hitchcock and joining the Navy. John, Barbara and their first daughter, Cindy, lived in Maine for 2 years. John moved his family back to Spokane where they resided in the Mead area with the twin boys Dean and Darrell and two daughters, Becky and Jennie. John worked as a Darigold milk delivery driver, School Bus driver and Taxi Driver. This lifelong career of driving allowed him to pursue a passion of love for the city of Spokane. He knew it well and enjoyed all it had to offer. John loved the service type of work being able to help people on a daily basis. John eventually moved back into his cherished boyhood home across from Manito Park and married Judy Conshuk. John loved and excelled at sports as well as enjoyed fishing and traveling the Pacific Northwest area. He was a simple man who favored the little things in life such as family dinners, Sunday drives and watching a good movie at home. He will be missed. John attended the Kingdom Hall and was a member of Jehovah’s Witness faith. John is survived by his Wife, Judy Miller; daughters Cindy Miller-Buel, Becky Patrick & Jennie Miller; sons Dean Miller & Darrell Miller; brothers Jim Miller and Clarence Junior Miller; as well as 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Barbara Hitchcock-Miller; his parents; grandson Matthew Miller; and his sister Dorothy Harruff.
