Joan G. (Jeffrey) "Hill" Kindschy (Age 85) passed away July 22, 2017 in Spokane WA, where she lived for 64 years. She is survived by her loving husband John Kindschy, children; Debbie Kenny (husband Wayne), Jeff Hill (wife Karin), Scott Hill (wife Pam) and Bindy Groh (husband Ken) stepchildren; Jody Malsam (husband Rick), Lori Ophus (husband Myron) and Kerrie Reidelbach (husband Don), 17 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her first husband Burnell M. Hill, parents Roy and Caroline Jeffrey, brothers Tom and Edward Jeffrey, and sister Martha Sanders. Joan was born in Charlo, MT on December 11, 1931 and grew up in Western Montana where her parents built a resort called Cabin City near St. Regis, MT when she was the age of two. She married Burnell April 17, 1949 in Missoula, MT and eventually moved to Spokane in March of 1953 where they were married for 47 years. Joan loved her career with Old National Bank (US Bank) for 25 years before retiring in 1995. She met her husband John, in December 2004 at a Christmas party at the Spokane House when she was asked by a handsome guy to dance on her birthday, they then married February 1, 2006. Joan loved reading, traveling, and crocheting blankets for every grandchild, but her biggest love was being with her family. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 29th at 2 p.m. at the Sunset Chapel inside Fairmont Memorial Park Chapel, 5200 W. Wellesley Ave, Spokane, WA 99205 with Pastor Bob Smith officiating (dress is summer casual).
