Obituary for Jill Elizabeth Young
On Jan. 24, 2022, Jill Young, mother, grandmother, passed away peacefully yet unexpectedly in her sleep. A lifetime resident of Spokane, Jill is survived by her older brother Rick Pansie JR. of Spokane. Daughter Amy Brooks of Spokane and Son Joseph Young (Pauline) of Olympia, WA. Four grandchildren, Chloe, Catalina, Kayla, and Samuel. Jill is preceded in death by her parents Richard Pansie Sr. and Margaret Pansie as well as her brother Jon Pansie all of Spokane.

Born on 03/09/1956, Jill attended St. Aloysius, and Lewis and Clark High School, class of 74. Jill later completed a technical degree at Spokane Community College. She worked in the health insurance industry and spent a majority of her career with PAML in Spokane. She worked at PAML for 19 years. She often spoke about her "PAML family" and how much she enjoyed working there. Most recently, Jill was working with Premera Blue Cross.

She was a caring and thoughtful mother and grandmother who was excited about her upcoming retirement. She looked forward to spending more time with her kids and grandkids. She loved sarcasm and had a wicked sense of humor. Jill could keep you laughing for hours. She will truly be missed.

Currently no service will be held due to the pandemic. For those friends and workmates who knew her well, please gather to share a toast and share stories of your time together. In lieu of flowers, this spring plant a pot of marigolds or petunias for her. Please post any memories you may have of Jill on the Pacific Northwest Cremation obituary.
