Jerry Lincoln Wing

September 22, 1938 - February 27, 2022

Jerry Lincoln Wing, 83, passed away on February 27th, 2022, in Spokane, Washington after a two-month battle with an aggressive cancer. Jerry was born September 22, 1938, in Spokane, WA. Jerry was the second born of six siblings to John and Leona Wing of Spokane Valley, WA. Jerry met his life-long sweetheart Sandra at age 16, marrying January 9, 1959, spending 63 years together. Soon after they were married, they had two children Deborah and Doreena. - Jerry attended Chester Elementary continuing his education graduating from Central Valley High School. Jerry enjoyed Fishing, Bowling, NASCAR, baseball and took on the special role of Coach for his daughter’s softball team. You could always count on him to cheer on our local teams, the Seattle Mariners, the Seattle Seahawks and Gonzaga Basketball. Jerry loved to travel, his favorite spots being Arizona and the Oregon Coast. Jerry was always telling stories from working at McCollum Ford and helping run a family farming business on Greenbluff. Him and Sandra finally retiring, snowbirds to Yuma Arizona during the winter months and back home to Spokane during the summer. He and Sandra were the first in line at every graduation, dance recital, softball game or birthday party for both daughters, every grandchild and great grandchild. Family was very important to him. Jerry had a contagious personality that made everyone in the room smile, entering a room with a “hey kid” and a hug. We all carry such special memories in our hearts of our time with Jerry, he will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. - Jerry is survived by his wife Sandra Wing, Daughters Deborah Klaus of Palm Springs, CA, Doreena Dobson (Michael) of Bermuda Dunes, CA; his five grandchildren Alana Crollard (Josh) of Omaha, NE, Amanda Lo of Seattle, WA; Aaron Klaus of Seattle, WA; Tara Dobson (Ron Meili) of Spokane, WA; Cassie Hester (James) of Spokane WA; and nine great-grandchildren Andrew “Drew” Wozniewski, Ava Crollard, Brayden Crollard of Omaha, NE; Kadyn Lo, Olivia Lo of Seattle, WA; Avianna Hester of Spokane, WA; Brynn Meili, Ashlyn Meili of Spokane, WA. Jerry is also survived his siblings, twin brother: Larry, sister Donna, brother John “Sonny”. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Leona Wing, siblings Delores and Janet. Special Thank You to the staff at Deaconess Hospital, eleventh floor for all you did during Jerry’s stay and treatment. We appreciate all you did for our family during these difficult times.
