Jan Davis (Rountree) passed away on July 8, 2016 after a three-year battle with cancer. Her children, grandchildren, brother and close family were by her side. Jan was born in Spokane on May 10, 1944 to Arnold and Robin Luft. They moved to Twin Falls, ID and began farming. Jan met her first husband, Gary Rountree in 1960, moved to Spokane and started their family. In 1995, she remarried to Gary Davis. After Gary Davis’ passing in 2013, she reconnected with Denny Prosser, who has been a close family friend for over 45 years. Jan was an avid homemaker and spent over 20 years cleaning homes, where she developed very close friendships with several families. She loved to follow her children and grandchildren’s sporting events, rain, snow or sun. Whether it was water / snow skiing, wrestling, gymnastics, soccer or track, she was sure to be present and cheering them on. She is survived by her children, Scott (Trisha), Chad (Kathleen), Stacy (Brad), extended family Kaani, Kimberly and Kathrine, and numerous grandchildren. Jan is also survived by her brother, Ralph Luft and nephew Jacob Luft. She is preceded in death by her parents. A celebration of her life will be held August 12th at Center Place Regional Event Center, 2426 N. Discovery Place, Spokane, WA 99216 between 2:00 and 4:00 pm.
