Janet Tevis

June 01, 1937 - July 03, 2019

Tevis, Janet - June 1, 1937 - July 3, 2019 Janet was born in Chicago, Illinois and was the daughter of Jessie and Joseph Zagrodnik. Janet had one sibling William, all of whom have preceded her in death. Janet moved to San Clemente, California, and fell in love with the ocean and her only husband Paul William Tevis, who has preceded her in death. Together they had 8 children: Pamela, Richard (deceased), Debbie (Robert), Cheryl, Diana, Roger, Chris (Skeeter), and Cynthia (Gary). Janet had 20 grandchildren: Timothy (Jenn), Monica, Joshua (Sakiko), Linda, Ben (deceased), Robert, Jaymes (Vivian), Marresa, Jay, Curtis (Jenn), Misty (James), Amber, Amanda, Miranda, Eric, Ciara, Cahen (Cambrie), Skyler (Katelynn), Bettina (Wyley), Robert and 23 great grandchildren: Calliope, Cyrus, Kiliyan, Rohen, Carlos, Sawyer, Dillon, Mason, Kendall, Aaden, Kolten, Peyton, Madison, Alexandra, Kennedy, Raymond, Katrina, Simon, Tyler, Brittany, Destiny, Carly and Robbie, and 3 great-great grandchildren: Abel, Paisley, and Maverick. Janet moved to Chewelah Washington in 1972 and lived at Waitts Lake. Later she moved to Spokane. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, she devoted her life to helping others and sharing her biblical hope for the future. Janet loved life, friends, gardening, swimming, and the ocean. All her loved ones remember her for playing songs by Englebert Humperdink, playing cards or dominoes, and trips camping or to the lake. Her Memorial will be held Saturday, July 27, 2019 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 2405 East 57th Ave Spokane, WA 99223 at 3 pm. With tremendous gratitude to Hospice of Spokane.
