James M. Petersen
August 3, 1941—February 20, 2021
James Petersen passed away peacefully in his home after a long battle with M.S. and Parkinson’s. A native to Spokane, Jim was born to Gordon and Dagmar Petersen. He attended West Central High school, achieved his Bachelor’s at Northwest University, and completed his Master’s at Denver Seminary. Jim met his wife Patti in Denver 36 years ago when his company was insuring a real estate project Patti was working on. They both enjoyed skiing, hiking, biking, tennis, and gardening together. Jim always enjoyed a good book and spent many hours in his backyard enjoying God’s creation. Jim is survived by his wife Patti, son Andrew, and daughter-in-law Jasmine, along with his three sisters Donna, Jan, Marilyn, brother-in-law Erwyn, and their extended families. In lieu of flowers, please donate in memory of Jim to the Union Gospel Mission or a local charity of your choice.
