James "Jim" Roger Meyer

August 13, 1960 - March 14, 2021

James Roger Meyer, age 60 years Jim passed away on Sunday, March 14th, 2021 with family at his side, after 9 days in ICU from complications of lung cancer, and his treatment for it. He was born in San Leandro, CA on August 13th, 1960 to Wallace and Mildred Meyer. He was the youngest of six children. Jim grew up in Spokane, WA. He attended Mead High School, graduating in 1978. Worked 24 years at Kaiser Aluminum until the plant closed down. Eventually he became a contract employee of the Spokesman Review, and was currently working there when he passed. He was a big hearted, loving papa and would help out anyone who asked. He loved camping, fishing, boating and hanging out with friends and family. He is preceded in death by both his parents, and sister Deborah Holdren. Survived by his two loving stepchildren, Mason Meyer and Angel Stephenson and one beautiful granddaughter, Kendel Stephenson. His siblings Sandra Compton (Butch) Sheri King, Janice Cassis (Tom) Robert Meyer (Julie). His best friend, Mel Meyer, who was there to help and support him whenever he needed her.
