RAUSCH, Howard G. Of Spokane, WA passed away on Tuesday, July 29th in his home. He was 66. He was born on January 24, 1948 in Spokane, WA. He attended Rogers High School and Washington State University earning a degree in Geology. After college, he joined the Navy and served four years as an air traffic controller. After being honorably discharged from the Navy he became a firefighter with the Spokane County Fire Department and retired in 2001 after 25 years of service. In 1999 he married Lynda Meise of Benge, WA. Howard was a unique individual with a great sense of humor who loved adventure, enjoyed crossword puzzles, skiing and boating and taking numerous road trips with his wife all across the U.S. He will be greatly missed. Howard is survived by his wife and stepdaughter Jennifer Van Eps, two sisters Luella Jalette, and her husband Robert, Deanna Kuhn and her husband Ronald, a niece Laura Jalette, a nephew David Jalette, and his kitty, Ophelia. Memorial donations may be made in Howardâ??s name to Spokanimal, the Inland Northwest Human Society.
