Helen Ann Sciuchetti

February 11, 1938 - November 10, 2016

Helen passed away November 10, 2016 at Sunshine Gardens in Spokane Valley. She was born in February of 1938 in Pendleton, OR. Helen as raised on a farm in Stanfield, OR, where she enjoyed riding horses and performing ballet. After high school she attended Kinman Business School in Spokane, where she met her husband of 58 years. She and Don were married in Spokane in 1958. Helen worked for Washington Water Power (Avista) for seven years and taught for several years at Spokane Community College. She and Don raised their two sons in the Spokane Valley. Helen relaxed by going to her river cabin, visiting the Oregon coast, and spending time with her granddaughters, husband, family and friends. Helen is survived by her husband Don; brother, Harlan; sons, John and Jay; daughter-in-law, Kristi; granddaughters, Julia and Sophie; and nieces and nephews. The family thanks Valley Pines Retirement Home and Sunshine Gardens for their caring support. A memorial service will be held on Saturday November 26, 2016, at 1:00 pm at St Marys Catholic Church in Spokane Valley, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Spokane, P.O. Box 2215, Spokane, WA 99210 memory of Helen Sciuchetti.
