Obituary for Geoffrey L. Stern
Local lakes, hunting grounds and camp sites lost a loyal outdoorsman with the death of Geoffrey L. Stern on April 19, 2018. Geoff will be remembered for his laughter, AC/DC air band performance, poolside acrobats, wheelies, and his propensity to camp and barbecue in style. He loved his family, friends, music, the Packers, and relaxing after a hard day’s work. Geoff was an accomplished bowler, earning a prestigious USBC ring for a 300 game.
Geoff was born to Arthur Stern and Alina Kay McMullen (Dickinson) on September 29, 1968. He grew up on the South Hill with his brother, Greg Stern, and graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1987.
He is survived by his wife, Dana Regan-Stern, two daughters, Kalynn and Jordyn Stern, step-children, Brandon and Kaitlynn Regan and Cody Rustuen, one granddaughter, Phoenix Robb, his nannie, Roberta Dickinson, his lifelong friend, Tonya Stern, his other mom, Connie Shusko, his niece and nephew, several aunts, uncles and cousins, and numerous friends.
He is preceded in death by his papa, Harold Dickinson, his grandma, Todie Albert, and his mother, Kay.
Geoff’s wish for each of us would be to relish time with family, live life to the fullest, take a camping trip with friends, and make a toast to enduring relationships lifelong and beyond.
In lieu of flowers, buy a new lure, cast a line, and enjoy a day at the lake – Geoff would love that!
