LOWRY, Erv “Jock” (age 64) Erv “Jock” Lowry, of Spokane Valley, passed away on Friday May 1st, 2015, at home with his family by his side. Born on January 15, 1951, to Ervin and Beatrice in Pocatello, ID, Jock graduated from Madras high school in 1969. He married his high school sweetheart Sherri Nicholas in 1970, they were later divorced. Jock served in the army during the Vietnam War. When he returned from the war he started working for Les Schwab Tires, where he worked for 33yrs. He worked at Madras, OR and Bend, OR, and he was promoted to assistant manager of the Walla Walla, WA store. This is where he met and married his best friend, soul mate and the love of his life Katherine; they were married on March 25th, 1986. Jock then went to the Moses Lake, WA store; later achieving his goal by becoming manager at the Veradale, WA store, where he finally felt at home. In 2006 he retired to enjoy time with his family. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, camping and ATV riding. Jock will truly be missed by family and friends, and he will not be forgotten by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife Katherine; children, Jeff (Karin) Lowry, Trina (Dan) Cole, and Trac (Amy) Katsel; grandchildren, Jacob, Justin, Bandon, Tyson, Taelor, Caden, and Larissa; great-grandchildren, Owen and Kaden; sister, Jacqueline Ann (Ken) Savard; their children, Kenny and Cheryl; and his loving dog, Chole. He was preceded in death by his parents Ervin and Beatrice Lowry and his sister Kit Thomas. Jock’s funeral will be held on May 16th at 11:00am, at the Spokane Valley Church of the Nazarene, 15515 E 20th Ave, Veradale, WA 99037. - “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race; I have kept the faith.
