Earnestine L Davis

July 28, 1948 - December 10, 2018

Earnestine Louise Davis, age 70, of Pinehurst, Idaho, passed away on December 10th, 2018 while her daughter Jodi and son-in-law Chris lovingly held her hand and stroked her hair, telling her how much she was loved. Earnie was born on July 28th, 1948, in Kellogg, Idaho to Clifford and Audrey Stanphill and was the baby of seven children. She graduated from Kellogg High School and went on to marry Raymond A. Davis on December 31st, 1966, and they had two daughters, Shannon and Jodi, that she loved very much. - Most of her life, Earnie worked as a CNA, mostly doing in home care. Caring for the elderly was a great passion of hers. She loved each and every one of her patients and treated them all as if they were her own family. Aside from her patients and her family, Earnie loved her pictures! Many times she was even seen taking pictures OF pictures so that she would have one of her very own! If you walked in to her house, you would see the walls covered with her loved ones and memories, and she cherished them dearly. But above all, her greatest love was for that of her God Jehovah and his son Jesus! Nothing meant more to her than her ministry and going door to door to share with everyone the hope for the future that she knew in her heart would come true was the greatest mission in her life. Earnie was a regular pioneer in the kingdom hall up until her body no longer allowed her to do so and she remained ever faithful right up to the end. Earnie is survived by her daughter, Shannon Rushing (Dave), her daughter, Jodi Avery (Chris), her grandsons, James and Joshua Harrison, her great-granddaughter, Jade Harrison, her sisters Christine and Suzanne, her brothers Thuman and William, and numerous nieces and nephews. - She is preceded in death by her sister Camella and her brother Tom. A service commemorating Earnie’s life will be held on Saturday, December 15th, 2018, at the Pinehurst Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, at 2:00 p.m. A reception will follow at the Kellogg Senior Center and the family welcomes you to attend the reception even if you can’t make the service.
