ROSAMOND, Dora Martha Dora M. Rosamond passed away peacefully at Hospice House on March 31, 2021 age 94. Born May 14, 1926, in Spokane, WA, she was the youngest, and last surviving, of nine children born to Nina Bales and James Stewart. Dora met the love of her life, James R. Rosamond, while working at a movie theater. They eloped and married in Coeur d’Alene, ID on February 1, 1943, after James enlisted as an Army Air Force pilot. - Dora was loved by all who met her. She was a devoted mom, always welcoming in friends and family, charming everyone with advice, meals, and a sense of humor. She was a renowned shopper and loved to bowl, garden, golf and play cards. Boating was also a passion for her and Jim at Pend Oreille Lake and Puget Sound. We will cherish always the many fond memories we shared with Dora. - Dora is survived by four children: Richard, Janice, Donna (Dana), and Cathy (Ken); seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Dora was preceded by her beloved son, Thomas C. and husband, James R. Rosamond; Craig McDonald and Susan Rosamond. - Dora will join her husband of 64 years at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Medical Lake, WA. - Donations may be made in Dora’s name to hospiceofspokane.org.
