Donald Ward Carey

January 04, 1943 - May 09, 2013

CAREY, Donald Ward ""Don"" (Age 70) Don was born in 1943 in Seattle, WA to Ward and Louise Carey. He passed away on May 9, 2013 in Spokane, WA. He was the third eldest of eight children. He is survived by two sisters, Margaret (Don) Stieger and Susan (Art) Ackman; sister-in-law Doris Carey and his brother Allen Carey. He had two sons, Taze and Wyatt, from his first marriage. He met and married Sharon Porter in May of 1987. They had five children together, Sarah, Angie, Kenny, Ellamay, and Ben. He also had a large family of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly. He grew up in Spokane Valley and graduated from Central Valley High School. Don was an excellent framer and finish carpenter. He loved to work on old Fords and enjoyed river canoeing. All knew Don best as a kind and giving person. When help was needed he was the one we called. He is resting now, but will be anxious to get back to work in the New World.
