David W Olson

July 14, 1940 - March 18, 2018

David "Davey" Olson (Age 77) died March 18th, 2018, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his wife Kathie and his girls at his home in Loon Lake, WA. He was born July 14th, 1940, to Harry and Jackie Olson in Tacoma WA. After high school Dave served in the U.S. Army in Germany for three years. He worked for the City of Spokane and then for Acme Concrete for 26 years, driving over a million miles. He enjoyed his hobbies in fast pitch softball as a pitcher (Lefty). He was a Golden Glove Boxer and enjoyed racing in Open Wheel Race Cars. He loved his place in Sheep Creek, traveling to the Oregon Coast and his home in Loon Lake. He loved hunting, fishing and gold panning. Preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. He is survived by and missed greatly by his wife of 42 years Kathie, his daughters; Ronda (Scot) Lenhard, Denise (Mike) Varang, and Dawn (Brian) Grable, grandchildren; Michelle (Joey), Ashley (Dan), Matt (Jessica), Ethan, Trevor, Seth, Joseph, Taylor, Ammy, Melissa, and Katie, great-grandchildren; Owen, Liam, Violet, Roxy, Gunner, Zoey, Jace, Esme and Hazel. A private service will be held at a later date. Our family would like to express our thanks to Dad's healthcare providers and visiting nurse for their special care.
