David “Dave” Grabowski passed away on December 22nd, 2015 at his home in Spokane Valley, WA. Dave was born on November 28th, 1958 in Santa Monica, CA to Ken and Ruth Grabowski. Dave grew up in Long Beach, CA and took several years of piano lessons which eventually led to him playing keyboard in a rock band. Although he never became famous, Dave loved playing in clubs in the LA area. In the mid 1980’s, Dave moved to Washington to find a quieter life for his family. He was a respected computer programmer for 30 years, working as a long time employee of MSC, now known as Premera Blue Cross. Dave also continued playing music with The Whistling Oysters. He taught himself how to play the Concertina and loved playing Irish music. Besides music, Dave loved hunting, hiking, and spending time at his 20 acres in Pend Oreille County; he was also a long time member of the NRA. Dave is survived by his wife, Jamie Schober; his son, Loren Grabowski of Brisbane, Australia; his parents, Ken and Ruth Grabowski of Palm Desert, CA; his brother, Wayne Grabowski of Los Altos, CA; and his sister, Amalie Hohn of No. Hollywood, CA.
