Obituary for Christie Lynn Donohoe-Sir
Christie Lynn Donohoe-Sir unexpectedly passed away on the morning of September 17, 2019. Christie was born on June 2, 1970 to Jacqueline and Mervin. She was then joined by a sister Janna, who sadly passed away last year, and a brother Matthew. Christie and Jason were married on her favorite beach in Hawaii in 2005 and were married for 14 years. Christie had a daughter Kyla, from her first marriage and sadly suffered a miscarriage during her second. Although she wasn't able to meet her second child while she was alive, I'm happy that she can finally hold her baby in her arms. Christie was loved by everyone that she met during her time on earth and she will be greatly missed by many. Christie was a caring, thoughtful and gracious person who would do whatever she could to help even if it meant that she had to go without. She had a big heart and a bright soul. Christie was strong willed but her strength was admirable. She was a breast cancer survivor, a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a friend, a hard worker, determined, selfless, but most importantly she was someone who made a difference in the lives of all of those around her. She impacted all of our lives in different ways and she will forever be remembered for her smile, her laugh and her kind loving heart. She was a fighter and she overcame all that life threw at her but unfortunately she lost this fight. Wherever she may be, she is no longer in pain and may she rest in in eternal peace and be reunited with all of the beautiful souls that left us over the years. Christie leaves behind her husband Jason and her daughter Kyla as well as her five cherished dachshunds that she loved with all of her heart. She also leaves behind her mother Jackie, father Mervin, brother Matthew, nephews, nieces, her in laws, as well as the countless others whom she loved. Christie was an unforgettable and remarkable person. Her bright blonde curls, her Hawaiian mumu, walking her dogs along the beach, laughing and smiling ear to ear, that's the way she will be forever remembered. We plan to honor her by just doing the simple things that she loved and that gave her joy, like camping, walking the dogs at the river, being at the lake, gardening, cooking, the list goes on. But most importantly by just being the kind of person she was. Have a big heart, do the right thing, care for others, help others, be kind, be grateful. Two things she used to say that I'll remember until the day I die, "be the bigger person" and "you treat others the way you want to be treated". Whenever you think of Christie, always remember those words ❤
There will be a service for Christie at a later date yet to be announced due to travel arrangements, planning and now holidays. All of those that loved her are welcome to attend and join us to celebrate her life.
