Christiane “Chris” Driskell passed away May 20, 2015 after an eleven month battle with ovarian cancer. Chris was born July 6, 1955 in Meerebusch, Germany along with her twin brother, Martin L. Driskell, to Hannelore Halkjaer. After one year in Germany the twins were adopted by Leslie and Ilse Driskell and raised in Saudi Arabia, eventually settling in Spokane. Chris was fortunate to travel all over the world and maintained a lifetime of gratitude for these experiences. In 1978 she earned a B.A. from the University of Idaho, followed by employment in the newspaper, insurance and forest products industries. Earlier this month, Chris was married to her soulmate of 26 years, Diane. Chris is survived by her wife, Diane C. Wagner, twin Martin Driskell, three beautiful nieces, Carly (Derek), great niece, Lydia, Kaylin (James), and Cassidy whom she loved as her own children. She also leaves behind many dearly loved friends. Contributions in her name can be made to Cancer Care Northwest or the Spokane Humane Society.
