Charlotte Odell

September 19, 1933 - January 26, 2018

Born September 19, 1933 in Long Beach, CA to Tony and Genevieve Yates. Her father was a chief in the US Navy, so most of her childhood was spent traveling the nation with her parents and brother, Brian. Her senior year the family settled into the Spokane Valley, where she would graduate from Central Valley H.S. in 1951. The in 1954, she married Donald G. Odell. They made their home of 60 years in Spokane Valley. There they raised two daughters. She spent her summers at their cabin on the Pend Orielle River, enjoyed many trips to California and Arizona. Her door was always opened, where she waited with a smile. Her dedication to her family never tired. Her days were spent providing help where needed, a listening ear and always a meal. She was met in Heaven by her parents and brother. Those who wait to see her again; her devoted husband, daughters, Pamela J. Stangland, Vicki L. Gannon, 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Charlotte was a beautiful woman with a kind heart and generous spirit. The Life and Legacy she leaves will live on forever. Though gone in body, her spirit, just as in life will be treasured in our hearts. The family will be holding a private memorial.
