Carol Ann Alboucq

July 23, 1929 - May 26, 2016

Carol was born on July 3, 1929, in Seattle WA. She went home to see her Lord on May 26, 2016, in Spokane WA. She was a charter member of Christ Lutheran Church (now Advent Lutheran), where she was on the church council and had been a Sunday school teacher. Carol took great pride in her Swedish heritage and had visited Sweden several times. She was the first generation of Swedish born parents Anna and Arne Goranson. Carol was an avid golfer, a member of the Meadowwood Ladies Club, and had played for over 60 years. While attending Washington State University, she met her husband of over 50 years Robert L. Alboucq. She loved music and theatre and attended many Spokane symphony concerts, as well as civic theatre plays. Carol is survived by her sons, Brian and Steve Alboucq; granddaughter, Cara Alboucq; brother, Stuart Goranson; and many beloved nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert and her daughter-in-law, Nancy Alboucq. Memorial gifts may be given to Lutheran Community Services Northwest. A memorial service is to be held Friday June 10, at 11 AM at Advent Lutheran Church, Spokane Valley. Community Cremation & Funeral - Spokane Valley - 13127 E.
