Carl Knechtges

March 12, 1926 - May 30, 2013

KNECHTGES, Carl Carl was born March 12, 1926 in Great Falls, MT. Carl returned to his Creator on May 30, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dolores; daughters Carol Derbyshire of Great Falls, MT., Paula (Rex) McWhorter of Peoria, AZ, June (Eric) Geesey of Lancaster, PA., son Brian (Kathy) Knechtges of Spokane, WA.and brother David (Tai Ping) Knechtges of Bellevue, WA. Twelve grandchildren and thirteen great- grandchildren also survive him. Carl served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Tank Gun Crewman. He worked for Aerojet Corp. and Aerophysics as a wood pattern maker at several locations throughout California during the 1950's and 60's. He later chose to return to his home state of Montana to raise his family. He enjoyed many years of taking his family camping and fishing throughout Montana. Carl retired from the Great Falls School District in 1987. He then moved to Deer Park, WA to live out his days doing what he enjoyed most, working in the yard. Never has there been a man with more strength, will and determination. Carl will be greatly missed and forever loved
