Burton James Carter Jr. was born on July 15, 1957, in Honolulu, HI. He was called home by our Lord and Savior on August 2, 2017, in Spokane, WA.

A man of many interests, Burt enjoyed the art of cooking and spent his lifetime perfecting it. He loved cheering on his favorite Nascar drivers and the Seattle Seahawks. Burt loved spending evenings with his family watching his favorite programs. A family man at heart, he took great pride in his children and grandchildren. It is through them, he leaves his legacy. His faith was also very important to him. A big fan of country music, he took joy in listening to Meryl Haggard, Keith Whitley, Brad Paisley and others.

Burt is leaving behind his loving wife and soul mate Kristina Conn Carter. Married for 16 years, they built a life together. Burt is also survived by his mother, Diana; sisters, Cheri and Rene; brother, Michael; his children, Mandy, Rosie, Amber and Miranda; his step-children, Tara, Kolton, Colie, and Morgan; and his grandchildren, Louise, Aredell, Franklin and Virginia. Burt was preceded in death by his father Burton Carter Sr.
