Bruce Bowen Markee

September 10, 1922 - May 19, 2016

Passed away May 19, 2016 in Spokane, WA. Bruce was born to Claude and Theodocia Markee on September 10, 1922 in Ford, WA. He was a radio operator in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. He is survived by his wife Velma; children, Lo’An (Robert) Schneller, Ray Markee, Sherry (Steve) Schallock, Bruce (Cindy) Markee, Lila/Honey Markee, and Desmond (Shawn) Boucher; 26 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; a sister, Delores Pachernegg; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; one nephew; three grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law. Donations may be made to Hospice of Spokane: PO Box 2215, Spokane, WA 99210; or to the Inland NW Honor Flight: 608 W 2nd Ave Ste 309, Spokane, WA 99201. A private service will be held at a later date.
