She was the third child joining her brothers James and Robert. She was adored when she was born and the apple of her father’s eye. Bonnie grew up in north Spokane and went to Northwest Junior Academy, being active in sports. After leaving school she was proud and happy to work at the fountain in the Crescent department store in downtown Spokane. Bonnie was quite adventurous, her interests were in demolition derby, water skiing, and riding on motorcycles.

Bonnie met and married Albert Knudtson in 1957. She loved being a homemaker and mother to sons Michael and Steven. They spent many trips up to Priest Lake camping on the islands. They were married for 10 years.

Bonnie later married Robert Hurley. The had a beautiful daughter Leslie. Bob and Bonnie had a beautiful home with a pool and had many gatherings with family and friends. They were married for 10 years.

In 1978 Bonnie married Jerry Tripp. She became stepmother to Jerry’s sons Mike and Larry. They moved up to Glenrose in South Spokane. They had a lovely home and Bonnie loved to entertain with BBQ’s, game nights and pool parties. She was a loving mother and the best friend a person could have. Bonnie and Jerry were together for 20 years until his death.

Bonnie was truly one of a kind and a bright light in this world. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Elwyn and Lucille Homburg; her brothers, James and Robert; her son Steven Knudtson.
