Obituary for Beverly Marie Bahr

Beverly Marie Loughridge Bahr was born in Livingston Montana on April 2, 1933 to George and Grace Loughridge. She joined her older siblings Louise (Dee), George, and Jackie.
Bev attended schools in Livingston and Butte Montana, graduating from Butte High school in 1951. She married the love of her life, Fred Bahr on March 7th, 1951 in Butte. Together they spent 64 years of marriage until his death this last April. Their first child Coleen, was born in 1956 while they were living in Salt Lake City, Utah. As Fred’s career progressed, they moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1958 and Spokane Washington in 1960. In 1963, their second daughter Shannon, was born.
Bev did not work outside the home, after having children. She was always there for her family. She was active in Northwood Presbyterian Church where she made lifelong friends. At various times while she was at Northwood, she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school, played in the hand bell choir, was a deacon and an elder, and was active in circle and bible study.
She and Fred loved to square dance and were also active members in the Western Dance Association, in their earlier years. Later in life, Bev enjoyed traveling, bible study, knitting, guitar, cross stitch, genealogy, working crossword puzzles and getting together with friends and family.
Bev is survived by her children Coleen and Shannon, her grandchildren Brian, Kayla, Eli, Dakota and Cutter and many special nieces and nephews. Bev was welcomed in to heaven by her husband Fred, both of her parents, all of her siblings, and our Heavenly Father.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Spokane (Hospice House North) for making her last days comfortable and compassionate. They would also like to thank her friends from Northwood church who have supported the family through these past few difficult months.
Interment will take place on June 8 at 1:00pm at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. A memorial service will follow at 2:30pm at Northwood Presbyterian Church, 6721 N. Monroe.
Memorial contributions can be made to Northwood Presbyterian Church (6721 N. Monroe) where they will be used to support the activities that Bev loved.
