Bea R West

October 12, 1927 - June 13, 2017

In loving memory of our mother, sister, grandmother. - On Tuesday, June 13, 2017 her free spirit moved on to join her parents, infant son David, sister Annette, and husband Dale. Bea was born in Colfax, WA on October 12, 1927 to Clark and Belva Martin. In 1945, she graduated from high school in Ritzville, WA where she met and married Ernest VonOlnhausen, Jr. From that marriage, Bea leaves behind Sandee (Gary) Stevens, Linda (John) Wolverton, and Randy (Candy) VonOlnhausen. Bea worked in Moses Lake at Larson Air Force Base. There she met and married Keith Cahill. From that marriage, she leaves behind Paul (Lynn) Cahill and Tammi Cahill. In addition to the above children, she leaves behind 12 grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sister Helen (David) Vincent, and numerous nieces and nephews. In later years, Bea worked in Spokane at St. Lukes Hospital as a billing clerk and operator. While working there, she met and married Dale West. Together they farmed at Basic City, WA. She loved driving a tractor. Bea and Dale retired to Tum Tum, WA. From that marriage, she leaves behind step-daughters Alice (Cecil) Gray, Karen (Gary) Gray, and Marie (Duane) Scott. The family extends a special thank you to Royal Park Health and Rehab (especially the Evergreen Unit) for their enduring care and kindness to our mother. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 2:30 PM, at Greenwood Memorial Terrace, 211 N. Government Way, Spokane, WA 99224. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Vanessa Behan nursery, or the charity of your choice.
