Avril Ulinder Pemberton (AeePee)
1961 - 2021
Avril Ulinder Pemberton transitioned to rest on 6 December 2021 Medical Lake, Washington.
She was born in St. Christopher, Nevis to Rosalind Pemberton.
At the age of six, Avril moved to St. Croix, USVI with her family. She attended St. Peters
Elementary School (now Pear B. Larsen), Elena Junior High, and St.Croix Central High School.
She then moved to Concord, North Carolina and attended Barber-Scotia College where she
pledged/became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and received a Bachelors Degree in
Business Administration/Marketing. Throughout the years, Avril worked in retail management
for many companies. Her last position was as Assistant Manager at Goodwill located at 2282
N. Ash St., Spokane, WA where she worked until the time of her transition to rest.
Avril is survived by her daughter Ariel J. Gray, son-in-law Rameriez Charleston Gray, grandson
Kaiden A. Walker, and granddaughters Ramiya J. Gray and Rayne C.R. Gray. Brother Paul R.
Powell, sisters Myrtle V. Pemberton, Monica D. Pemberton, Benny Joseph, Debbie D.
DeGrasse, Porlette R. Powell, Odessa N. Simon, and a host of many nieces and nephews, Adopted sister and Bestie Connie S. Francis.
Godson Osei Ayinde Gore and Best friends Cassandra Skepple and Pastor Arlette Kim Reives.
She is preceded in rest by her mother Rosalind Pemberton and brothers Steadroy Woodburn
and Kirtley Pemberton.
Celebration of Life Service for Avril will be on 17 December 2021, 1:00pm at Sunset Chapel
5200 W Wellesley Ave Spokane, WA 99205.
