Arnold Clemens

August 13, 1928 - March 15, 2018

Arnold John Clemens, "AJ,” peacefully went to be with the Lord as he was surrounded by family on 3/14/18 at the age of 89. Arnold grew up on a farm as the 10th of 11 siblings, and then moved to Jamestown, ND where he met and married Norma Grosz. Their 69-year marriage was blessed with 5 children, 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Arnold had a 30+ year career at the USPS where he retired at 60. He and Norma lived in the same house in Spokane, WA for 50+ years. They regularly attended the annual Clemens family reunion and were members of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Arnold lived a happy life and was always in a good mood. He was known for his deep love of his siblings and own family, big heart, great sense of humor, and easy-going personality. He enjoyed being with family, bowling, Larry Bird and the Celtics, western shows and movies, and yard work. Arnold is preceded in death by his siblings Hilda, Oscar, Verner, Hank, Alma, Leonard, Eleanore, and Leona. He is survived by his loving wife, Norma; siblings Karl Clemens and Esther Sharp; children Roger (Cindy), Carla Best (Clay), Rosemary Jewell (Richard), Robert and James; and all grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Arnold's memorial service will be held at 1:00 on Apr 7th at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Spokane, WA.
