Alisha Christine Sweet passed away too young on January 29th, 2016 in Spokane Valley, WA; she was 29. Alisha was born on March 24th, 1986 in Spokane, WA to Leonard and Julie Sweet. Alisha loved her family and friends and was known as being a strong survivor, kind, loving, loyal and was respected by many. She had an infectious laugh and smile that made you want to laugh and smile whenever you were with her. She took dance lessons as a girl and still loved to dance all her life; she also liked to draw. Alisha enjoyed spending time with her family – especially the kids in the family who called her “Auntie Alisha”. Alisha is survived by her mother, Julie Sweet; her siblings, Michelle (Kip) Knapp, Master Sgt. Roderick (Theresa) Wachter, and Ryan (Jessi) Brigman; grandma, Dolores Rhoads; her special niece, Mariah Brigman; stepmother, Laura Sweet; siblings, Leonard Sweet Jr., Richard Sweet, Cheryl Sweet, and John Sweet; as well as multiple nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins. Alisha is preceded in death by her father, Leonard Sweet and her uncle, Shane Rhoads. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Spokane and Spokane Valley Sheriff’s Departments and their chaplains for their service and comfort. A Celebration of Life will be held for Alisha at 11am on Saturday, February 6th, 2016 at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church 1926 W.
