HOLLIDAY, Alice L. (Age 97) Alice Louise Holliday was born June 25th, 1915 in Effie, Washington to Kirby W. and Anna Sooy and passed away December 24, 2012. Alice married Homer Holliday May 27th, 1939. She was preceded in death by her husband Homer, brother Kirby Sooy and stepbrothers Wayne and Glen Lundberg. Alice is survived by sons Ralph (Joann) of Deer Park, Curtis (Sandy) of Traverse City, Michigan, Brian (Becky) of Surprise, Arizona; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Luella Lundberg and numerous nieces and nephews. As a graduate of EWU she was a longtime educator in the Lamont and Deer Park School Districts. She was a member of the Open Door Congregational Church and a 50-year Member of the Bethlehem Chapter of OES serving two terms as Worthy Matron. The family wishes to thank the staff of Royal Plaza Retirement Center for the wonderful care provided over the last 17 years that she called Royal Plaza home.
