Alan C. Olsen 03/06/1948-05/08/2023 Alan Curtis Olsen, 75, of Spokane, Washington, passed away on May 8th, 2023, at Cherrywood Place Retirement. He was born on March 6, 1948, at Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, Washington, to Jack W. Olsen and Constance E. (Galloway) Olsen. Alan graduated from North Central High School in 1966 and went on to join the U.S Navy and was a Vietnam veteran. Alan was known for his musical talent; you’d always hear him humming a tune or strumming on his guitar, bringing joy to those around him. He married Pamela in 1979, and they were married for 35 years. In 1994 they purchased property in Loon Lake WA. That would be considered a paradise for the two. They raised an array of animals throughout the years and enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren. Alan was a devoted seventh Day Adventist and attended the 3 Angels Historic church in loon Lake WA until his wife’s passing in 2014. He is survived by his sisters; Nancy Sponitz, Connie Olsen, Vickie Russel, Linda Cook and Terry Ray; brothers Jack A. Olsen and Daryl Olsen. His stepchildren; stepson John Meek; stepdaughter, Laura Day and his 12 Step grandchildren and other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Constance Olsen; wife, Pamela Olsen; stepson, James Meek; stepdaughter Cheryl McLain. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday June. 10th, 2023 at 1pm at Sunset Chapel located at Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 w Wellesley Ave, Spokane, WA 99205. Alan will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
